In the period from 15th to 19th October 2018., a study trip to Den Haag (Netherlands) was organized for 12 representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and other stakeholders of the innovation system (Ministry of Science and Education, Croatian Chamber of Economy and HAMAG- BICRO) in order to get acquainted with the financing of innovation, research and technological development through tax relief.
Within the aforementioned travel, the organizations described below are visited.
- The Ministry of Economy and Climate Policy (Ministry of Economics and Finance) is a Dutch Ministry responsible for Trade Policy, International Trade, Industrial Policy, Investment Policy, Technology Policy, Energy Policy, Nuclear Power, Renewable Energy Policy, Environmental Policy , Climate Change Policy, Natural Resources, Mining, Spatial Policies and Tourism.
- The Dutch Chamber of Commerce (aka Kamer van Koophandel – KvK) is a provider of public services that help business owners succeed in managing their business. The Chamber of Commerce manages the Handelsregister and provides information on all types of business cooperation in the Netherlands.
- The Dutch Entrepreneurship Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland – RVO) is the executive agency of the Dutch Ministry of Economy and Climate Policy and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. RVO’s mission is to encourage entrepreneurs in sustainable, agricultural, innovative and international business through subsidies, patents, education in the field of procurement, damage management and so on.
- The Dutch Organization for Applied Scientific Research (Dutch Organization Organization for Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek – TNO) is an independent Dutch research organization that focuses on applied science. The organization also conducts contract research, offers specialist consulting services, and licenses patents and specialized software. TNO conducts testing and certifies products and services and issues an independent quality assessment.
- The Dutch Organization for Scientific Research (the Dutch Organization for Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek – NWO) is the National Research Council of the Netherlands. NWO finances thousands of top researchers at universities and institutes and directs Dutch science through subsidies and research programs. NWO is an independent administrative body sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science.
- The Haag Security Delta (HSD) is a Dutch security cluster and makes it a network of 280 companies, governmental and scientific organizations working together on innovative security solutions and knowledge development in this area.
- HTC – Parking & Security holds the 10th position among the leading 100 Dutch innovative small and medium-sized businesses and is the leading European company in the production of security doors.
